What these Canon statistics show

Canon is growing again, but the most important detail is where that growth is coming from. The company’s overall revenue is rising, profit has recovered strongly, and the Imaging Business Unit is expanding faster than the total company.

The camera side of the business also looks healthier than it did a few years ago. Canon kept its global leadership in interchangeable-lens digital cameras, industry shipments improved in 2025, and Canon’s own 2026 guidance points to further unit growth.

At the same time, Canon is much broader than cameras alone. Its scale in patents, subsidiaries, workforce, printing, medical systems, and industrial equipment shows why the brand remains one of the largest imaging and technology companies in the world.
