[FIXED] Tactacam Not Sending Pictures/Videos (iPhone & Android)

Tactacam is definitely a hunter’s best buddy, but it can be a bit frustrating when issues pop up.

One problem you might be dealing with is your Tactacam not sending photos or videos.

Though you’ve got the on-demand photos plan, the content isn’t showing up on your phone, right?

If that’s the case, don’t worry!

There are a few simple fixes that can help you get those pictures and videos sent directly to your phone.

Whether you’re using an iPhone or Android, these solutions should do the trick for both.

Solution 1: Check the Signals

Sometimes, weak signals can mess with your Tactacam sending photos or videos to your phone.

The first thing you should do is make sure you’ve got decent signal strength.

Open the door of your Tactacam and take a look at the green signal bars.

If they’re weak, try moving the camera to a spot with better reception.

This should help fix the issue of not receiving pics or videos on your iPhone or Android.

Solution 2: Use the recommended SD Card

If your SD card isn’t a good match, that could be what’s messing things up.

Make sure you’re using an SD card that matches Tactacam’s requirements.

Here’s what you should be looking for:

  • Class 10
  • U3
  • 16 to 32GB

Though the newer Tactacam models come with internal storage, you can still use an SD card if you prefer.

Just remember to stick with the SD cards recommended by Tactacam to avoid any problems.

Solution 3: Use the right SIM Card

After checking the SD card, the next thing you should do is to ensure you’re using the right SIM card.

Sometimes, the reason you’re not getting pictures or videos is because you activated the wrong SIM card. For example, if you use a different SIM card or accidentally put in a Verizon SIM but activate the AT&T settings instead, it could cause problems.

Make sure you’re using the right one and activate it properly.

Again, if you’re using the wrong SIM, you might not get your photos.

So be sure to check if you’re on Verizon or AT&T, or get a new SIM card by contacting Tactacam.

Solution 4: Batteries are dead/Solar panel isn’t charged

If you’re using batteries for your Tactacam, make sure they’re fresh and not dead.

Old or dead batteries could be why you’re not getting pictures sent to your album or app gallery. Try swapping in a new pack of compatible batteries.

For those powering your Tactacam with a solar panel, make sure it’s fully charged.

If the solar panel isn’t charged up enough, it might prevent your Tactacam from retrieving pictures or videos.

Solution 5: Make some additional App settings

Sometimes, we forget to tweak the app settings, and that can stop you from getting your pictures.

First, check the “Send Type” setting in the app and make sure it’s not set to send pics every 12 or 24 hours.

Also, make sure you’ve requested HD video or pictures if that is what you’re after—just a heads-up, it might cost a few extra cents.

Double-check if you’ve missed any payments in the app.

For Android users, take a look at your Files, Image Gallery, and the app separately. iPhone folks should check their Files folder, album, or SD card location.

Solution 6: Update the firmware

App glitches or bugs could also be the reason why your Tectacam stops pictures from getting sent to your app. To fix this, you might need to upgrade your app to the latest firmware if there’s an update available.

Here’s how to update the firmware and check for any new versions.

Just follow the instructions, and you should be good to go!

Final Solution: Reset

As a last resort, you can try resetting your Tactacam

Just keep in mind that this will erase all your saved data and settings, bringing it back to the default setup. Only go for this if you’ve tried everything else and still haven’t had any luck.

If that doesn’t work, reach out to Tactacam through their Facebook page or give them a call
